TREATMENT & THERAPY COVERED BY MOST MAJOR PET HEALTH CARE INSURERS
Patient-Centered Treatment
We take the time to understand the root of your problem in order to provide the best and most effective treatment. Through years of experience, we've found that Treatment & Therapy are a crucial part of the recovery process. Working closely with your Veterinarian or Doctor and following current evidence based practise, together we can optimise the outcome to maximise the quality of life of the client. With over 25 years of combined Human & Veterinary Physiotherapy experience and with training in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, we will do our best to ensure that everything can be done to promote the best possible outcome during each physiotherapy session. My name is Tracey Dempsey and I am the owner of Downward Dog Physiotherapy and a member of the Health Professions Council, IRVAP (Institute of Registered Veterinarian & Animal Physiotherapist), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and fully insured.

ASSESSMENT & DIAGNOSIS
The Tools You Need
Assessment & Diagnosis forms an integral part of our approach to treating the whole body, not just a complaint in isolation. This service is fundamental to ensuring our patients’ long-term health and wellness.
Using the most current assessment methods to optimise the outcome is crucial during ongoing assessment, like our new Flir Digital Thermography camera, that picks up 'hot spots' that may not otherwise be seen by your Veterinarian or Doctor. Thor Cold Laser Therapy to maximise the healing process using light emitting diodes, Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy for pain relief and neurological conditions and electrical muscle stimulators to prevent muscle wasting, whether it be post sports injury or neurological wasting. The Tudor Underwater Treadmill with incline is crucial for our patients, enabling the buoyancy of water to unload painful joints whilst maintaining a functional gait pattern. This facilitates a normal pattern of movement which can be maintained and improved.

CONTINUED CARE
Putting You and Your Pet First
We listen to your story and take a detailed history. To that end, we create an individualized treatment plan including Continued Care aimed at achieving the functional goals we set together.
